Solution to ‘No Back Ride’ Policy? Funny ‘Social Distancing’ Video Goes Viral
Having a problem with the ‘no back ride’ policy? One couple found a hilarious solution to the ‘social distancing’ problem that’s got a lot of netizens laughing – and the video quickly went viral!
‘Social Distancing’ on a Motorcycle
In the Philippines, the ‘no back ride’ policy was imposed to ensure that there will be ‘social distancing’ to minimize, even stop, the rapid spread of COVID-19. Since the back rider can’t obviously sit 1m away from the driver, motorcycles can only be used by one person.

This poses a problem to many families, particularly because the motorcycle is their primary means of transportation to go to work, buy groceries, and other activities. Many Filipinos just can’t afford to buy a car and public transport options are limited at their area.
Funny Solution to ‘No Back Ride’ Policy
A video shared by Rodel Manalo drew laughs from netizens as it shows a woman riding on an aluminum basin that’s being pulled by a man on a motorcycle. The hilarious video has gained over 1.1 million views, with many netizens feeling amused over their antics.
At first glance, you might not see something wrong (or crazy?) with the man in the video who was just driving his motorcycle while wearing the prescribed helmet. He also had a masked on and didn’t have a back ride.

The guy wouldn’t have a problem passing through the checkpoint, but as the video continued, it was clear that he’s going to be in big trouble! Riding on an aluminum basin, a woman is clearly following ‘social distancing’ protocols but the land transportation office won’t be so happy with his modified ride.
Is This Safe?
While this might just be a joke video that was done for laughs, authorities warn people not to copy this setup. In reality, the ‘rider’ of the aluminum basin faces a lot of dangers. She could get hit by passing vehicles who might not notice her riding that low or she could be flung far as the motorcycle takes a turn on the road.
Other netizens also pointed out that the basin would easily heat up with friction. Aside from getting burns, the woman could eventually get scrapes from the road as the basin develops holes.

But for the sake of laughs, this one is definitely gold! Perfect solution to the ‘no back ride’ policy, huh? Check out this video:
Bawal man ang mag backride sa motor, ingun anion nalang… okeey keyoo…

Video of Workers Scrambling to Get Cash from Office Floor Goes Viral
Every office or company has its own gimmick to give money to employees or to create a fun activity. But one office recently went viral after a video showed its workers scrambling to get cash from the office floor!
Office Goes Viral for Yearly Tradition
Businesswoman Joreen Cuerdo Ruzol shared a video of their workers scrambling on the floor, carrying plastic bags and trying their best to gather as much cash as they could! According to Ruzol, this has been their yearly tradition on the first day of work after the long Christmas break.

Though they had been doing this tradition for 10 years, they were surprised when they recently got viral after the video earned both positive and negative reactions from netizens.
At the start of the video, someone could be seen standing by the door of an empty room. The foreground shows money on the office floor, scattered around and showing different coins and bills alike.

After the door was opened, in fly the workers as they scrambled to get as much money as they could off the floor. The target is to get the bills with bigger value, of course, but getting more of the bills is also a good thing.
It is quite obvious in the video that the workers are having a good time as they tried their best to get as much money as they could. They were scrambling on the floor but it was all for fun.

While there were many netizens who jokingly wished that they were part of this office, there were others who slammed the administration for letting their workers do this. Some think that it would be better to just give the money in envelopes to the workers so that it would also be fair.

Responding to the attention the video has received, Ruzol said that they had been doing this for 10 years as tradition and had no plans to quit just because they received negative reactions from some netizens.
She explained that the workers had already received their bonus (in envelope) every December during their Christmas party. This activity is simply a yearly tradition they do to have fun.

Is Bonus Mandatory in the Philippines?
Employees are entitled to a 13th month pay which can be given in full in December or split into two. But in practice, there are many companies that give out additional bonuses, with the 13th month pay given in full by the middle of the year and another bonus, called the “14th month pay” provided in December.

Sitti Responds to Netizen’s Post about Her Song and Chicken Cordon Bleu at Weddings
“Ito yung pineplay sa kasalan habang nakapila ang tao sa buffet. Hayss miss ko na [chicken] cordon bleu,” a netizen jokingly lamented while alluding to Sitti’s “Para sa Akin” song. LOL.
Sitti’s Song Popular in Wedding Receptions
Pinay bossa nova singer Sitti Navarro recently went viral after responding to a netizen’s post about her song and chicken cordon bleu at weddings. The netizen was simply having some wishful thinking about attending a wedding to eat chicken cordon bleu while Sitti’s song, “Para sa Akin”, plays in the background as the guests choose food from the buffet table.

The singer laughed at how people have come to associate the song with wedding buffets (and chicken cordon bleu since this is a popular reception menu). She also admits that she misses attending and singing at weddings or other special events. Though she did not mention it, Sitti refers to the lack of events due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Amused over the netizen Ron Ron’s comment about her song, Sitti promised to sing at his wedding. She also jokingly promised to pay for the cordon bleu, adding that she will definitely not scrimp on that order.
Soon, the post reached the netizen who commented on the post. It turned out to be a certain Ron Aldwin De Ramos who wrote, “Salamat Ms. Sitti Navarro at dun sa ig user na nakapansin ng post ko! Hahaha sana po kayo ang kumanta sa kasal ko at isang tray ng cordon bleu ang inyo hahahahaha char!!”
Meanwhile, a lot of netizens commented that they feel the same way that Ron Ron does when they hear Sitti’s song because this is often played in the weddings that they had attended.
“Pag pineplay to naaamoy mo yung mga handa sa buffet. Hahaha,” one wrote.
“Kanya kanyang plate kasi sa buffet kaya bagay yung song na “Para sa kain”(Akin) 😂😂😂,” another joked.

Teen Seeks Help Against Former Maid-Turned-Stepmother Who Keeps Hurting Her Dad
The woman arrived at their house out of the blue. Her dad hired the woman to be their maid, but she soon became the stepmother and kept hurting the man who doesn’t even fight back! Tsk. Tsk.
Teen Seeks Help Against Stepmother
After seeing her father getting repeatedly hurt by her pseudo stepmother, Kristine Anna Maravilla sought help from Raffy Tulfo in Action so they can find justice.

In the interview with Tulfo, Kristine revealed that the woman had simply arrived at their house last year asking if she could use their bathroom and also have some food. The kindhearted Tatay Anthony Maravilla readily gave food to the woman named Juwena Dela Peña.
After learning that Tatay Anthony is a widower, Juwena applied for maid at their house – and Tatay Anthony hired her. But Tatay Anthony claimed that just a few days later, Juwena began sleeping in his bedroom.

Soon, the two had a baby. But even before having the child, Juwena was constantly hurting Tatay Anthony, his daughter said. Because she can’t also fight for her dad, the younger woman chose to just take videos as evidence of Juwena’s actions.
Even if Tatay Anthony is holding their child, Juwena does not even seem to care as she hits him – yet he never even tries to do anything to fight her. Poor Tatay Anthony.

Taking pity on her father, Kristine decided to seek help from Tulfo. While Tatay Anthony wants to call it quits, Juwena refuses to break up with him even if Tulfo was also backing him up.

She claims that she wouldn’t leave because every time they break up, it is Tatay Anthony who keeps begging to have her back. But not that Tatay Anthony said he doesn’t want her anymore because she constantly hurts him, she still refuses to go…
