DNA Results are Out for Kids of OFW’s Wife Who Refused to Delete Dummy FB Account

Last August, netizens expressed anger at a woman who promised she won’t cheat on her OFW husband again, but also refused to delete her dummy Facebook account!

The couple went viral, especially because Rudyard Burlaza is a responsible OFW who works hard for his family, yet his wife Melita Borlaza cheated on him with a soldier and even got pregnant with this man’s baby!

After their story went viral, Rudyard received plenty of messages from their neighbors, claiming that his wife also had other guys even before this soldier. They told him it was even possible that his wife’s other children might not be his at all!

Doubting whether these children are his, Rudyard was truly having a difficult dilemma. So, Raffy Tulfo offered to have the kids undergo a paternity test. It was troubling for the children, but Rudyard also wanted to know the truth.

After their last appearance on Tulfo, the family underwent the DNA test.

Now that Rudyard is back in Dubai, it was his wife who went to TV5 to meet with Tulfo for the results. Of all his kids, Rudyard was most skeptical of Rudyard Jr., but it turned out all the kids are his! Thankfully.

While Melita now lives in Pangasinan with her new baby, she still hopes that she could get her other children back. For Melita, she really hopes Rudyard would forgive her for the mistake she made so they can be together again.

Melita sought help from Tulfo so she could talk to her children because Rudyard’s family refused to let her call them. Tulfo advised that they go through the local social welfare office to arrange for this with Rudyard’s family.

She’s all smiles after learning that she could get her eldest child because the kid is already 8 years old and wanted to be with her. The second child also wants to be with her, but she has to wait until the kid is 7 years old (the child is now 6) so she could do that.

Different places have different laws.

Under the law in the Philippines, children under 7 years old should be under the custody of their mother, unless there’s proof that the mother does not have the capacity to do this for ‘compelling reasons’.

Kuwaiti Employer Defends Married Pinay Who Got Pregnant with Egyptian BF’s Baby

married Pinay

Getting pregnant out of wedlock is something that is never acceptable in Kuwait and other parts of the Middle East, but one kind employer defends her Pinay domestic helper from the angry mob who “made up stories” about her on social media.

After she got pregnant, however, the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) identified as Gina was left by her Egyptian boyfriend who fled to his hometown in Egypt, never to be seen again. Too scared to tell her employers and more scared of her family, Gina chose to keep the pregnancy a secret.

Baby in ICU

Her employers had no idea that she was pregnant. She probably had a small stomach, anyway, and it was hidden beneath her voluminous clothes. Days leading to her giving birth of the child, Gina ran away. She did not say where she went but when she came back to her employer’s house, she was already carrying the baby.

What’s sad is that the baby had head injuries after she gave birth to it as it most likely fell on something hard – and there was no one to catch it. Poor kid.

Employer Defends Married Pinay

Instead of bringing her to the police station or the religious police, Gina’s kind employers rushed her to the hospital. They made sure that she and the baby are alright – and even cared for the child who is still in ICU over his injuries.

The married Pinay drew criticism for having a boyfriend in Kuwait, particularly because she has a family back in the Philippines. There were people who made up stories about her employers being unkind to her, but her Madam would speak to the camera and defend the Pinay as well as themselves from the stories circulating on social media.

Wise Mom Lets Kids Have the Phones They Wanted on an Installment Basis

Entrepreneur Michelle Mangahas has three kids: Mark, 14, Mika, 11, and Matthew, 6. Just like many other kids these days, Michelle’s children wanted to have a new smartphone that could take great photos, but she only gave them old phones in the past.

The single mom would later let the kids have the phones they wanted, as long as they agreed to pay on an installment basis. Yay or nay?

Mommy Michelle told Smart Parenting that her kids actually have old phones when they asked to buy a new model that sells for Php10,000.

I told them I didn’t see a valid reason why a 14-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl would need such expensive phones. I also told them they already had phones, which should be enough for school research and a little bit of gaming,” she narrated.

But the kids reasoned out that their old phones weren’t so good. Mark said the phone that cost them Php2,700 to buy took “low quality photos”. Mika received hers for free from Mommy Michelle’s postpaid plan when she completed school as an achiever. But it’s 2 years old.

I told my kids na hindi obligasyon ng magulang na bigyan ng phones ang anak nila. Ang obligasyon ko is to feed them and send them to school,” Mommy Michelle explained.

Although kaya ko naman sila bigyan, sinasabi ko sa kanila na ang daloy ng pera walang kasiguraduhan. Kailangan mag-ready sa posibleng panahon na walang gaanong income.

Because she had taught the kids, particularly Mark and Mika, early on to save money for future needs, they were able to fork out Php3,700 and Php5,000 in savings, respectively. This money went to their phone fund, but they are supposed to pay their mom in installment for the rest of the phone amount they borrowed from her.

Although she doesn’t impose a strict deadline, she continues to remind them of their payments. So far, Mika is the one who pays up the installment faster despite getting a smaller allowance compared with Mark.

Mark has a harder time sa paghuhulog. Sabi niya malakas siyang kumain ‘di hamak sa kapatid niya, so mas kaunti natitira sa baon niya,” Mommy Michelle shared. She doesn’t mind as long as the kids are responsible enough to pay up when they can.

What a good way to teach financial responsibility.

What’s the Difference Between Installment and Layaway?

Both are types of loan that is paid over time, with smaller amounts of scheduled payments instead of a one-time payment. However, the customer can already use or get the item while still paying for an installment loan while the layaway item can only be received once the full loan is paid up.

Tulfo Wants to Send Heartless Pinoy Employer to Mental Hospital

We hear so many bad news about domestic helpers being treated so badly by their foreign employers. Sadly, the same thing also happens in many maids in the Philippines, even if they have Pinoy employers!

Rhea Tubia and her mother, Nanay Angelina Tubia, went to Raffy Tulfo for help after escaping from the clutches of their heartless Pinoy employer, identified as Trifona Selma who lives in Cavite.

Nanay Angelina and Rhea are from Cebu, they told Tulfo. They personally knew Trifona as a family friend. The latter went to Cebu some months ago and brought the two to Manila after learning that Rhea has a medical condition that she promised to treat. But according to Rhea, Trifona ‘treated’ her with leaves for a month, then stopped the ‘treatment’ even if she wasn’t actually healed.

Aside from the false promises, Nanay Angelina and Rhea would soon receive bad treatment from Trifona who hurts them when she is angry. She would shout at them when they make mistakes and they suffered from bruises and scars they would later show to the staff of Raffy Tulfo in Action.

As expected, Trifona denied that she was doing anything to the two, claiming that it was Nanay Angelina who was doing it to Rhea. However, she could also not give a valid reason why the two would do that, particularly because Nanay Angelina also has scars of her own to show. Certainly, these two are not just making up stories against her, just to gain sympathy from Tulfo.

After having fever for days but still being forced to work by the heartless Trifona, Rhea decided to run away. But no one believed her at first because she looks so dirty that it would seem she had been in the streets for a long time. Thankfully, there’s one woman who believed her and brought her to Alabang where her aunt is working… Tulfo wants to send the heartless employer to a mental hospital.

Watch the heartbreaking story here:
