Customer Refuses to Pay after Delivery Rider is 4 Minutes Late, Gives Him Bad Rating

A customer refuses to pay after the delivery rider arrived 4 minutes late – and she even gave him a bad rating! Tsk. Tsk.

Fake Order or Perfectionist Customer?

Lalamove rider Keith De Guzman shared a bad experience he had with a customer who was either a perfectionist customer or had simply made a fake order.

At around 1:50PM on May 18, Keith received the booking from the customer. He immediately went to the pick up area and was at the customer’s gate by 2:24PM.

The customer refuses to pay for the order, telling him that there was a note on the booking, stating that the delivery should be made by 2:20PM. Keith explained that he had immediately gone to the pick up area after receiving the booking. He also apologized for being 4 minutes late, but the woman still refused to pay up.

Then, the customer told him that it would be best if he just eat the food because she can’t pay for it as her dad was the one who was supposed to pay but had already gone out. Keith pointed out that this is a COD order or cash on delivery yet the woman ignored his messages and won’t also pay for the delivery fee!

Frustrated but still polite, Keith urged the woman to come out so they can share the food as he can’t consume everything.

Sige ma’am. Labas na lang po kayo. Wag mo na bayaran. Hati na lang tayo baka di ko po maubos to eh,” he half-joked.

But the woman had the audacity to give him a low rating for the order!

Is COD a Better Option?

For customers, COD is a better option because it allows them to order without much hassle as they don’t have to pay first using online options or bank deposits. However, this has become a big problem for many delivery riders who receive fake bookings or prank orders.

Couple Who Had Wedding Reception at Mang Inasal, Picks it as Christening Party Venue

A couple who had wedding reception at Mang Inasal goes viral again after they picked the same fast food chain as venue for their child’s christening party. Truly practical, huh?

From Wedding Reception at Mang Inasal to Christening Party

In the Philippines, special occasions like weddings, christenings, and milestone birthdays (debuts or first birthdays) usually involve a lot of money. That’s because people expect a big party for the event.

So, imagine how impressed people were when couple Rian Eran Baynosa and Rhaquesa Vicente Mosende had their wedding reception at a Mang Inasal outlet!

They went viral some months ago for their Mang Inasal wedding reception because they spent just around Php3,000 for it. That’s definitely a far cry from the hundreds of thousands of pesos that some people spend for theirs.

But the practical couple did it again! When they had a baby, they didn’t throw a lavish party like many people would in the Philippines.

Instead, they chose to do the party at Mang Inasal, again!

While they didn’t reveal how much this second Mang Inasal party was for, it was for certain not as expensive as most christening parties might go.

Plus, it’s such a practical party that they didn’t even have to cook or prepare anything for it – and the crew were the ones who cleaned up and washed the dishes afterward. Talk about a hassle-free party, huh?

Many netizens were also supportive of their choice, saying that it’s good for them to be practical and save their money for other more important, long-lasting things.

Congratulations for being practical and thinking more about your future! God bless you,” one netizen wrote.

But others thought that Mang Inasal should at least officially acknowledge the couple’s efforts – and for bringing their name as they did these viral parties.

Pag di pa nmn kayo kinuhang endorser ni mang inasal nyan aywan ko na lng talaga,” one commented.

Fast Food Chain Parties

Fast food chains know that people love their food and that many people are practical. That’s why many of them offer party packages.

For example, Jollibee is known for its kiddie parties, but some McDonald’s outlets in Hong Kong also offer wedding receptions.

Not only were they able to spend just Php3,000, everyone was able to have their fill because they had “unli rice”, something that the fast food chain offers for just a couple of pesos more than the regular meal.

Aside from “unli rice,” everyone also enjoyed halo halo, the Pinoy favorite dessert and snack item.

They also held the other ceremonies done at the reception there at the fast food chain, such as the ceremonial opening of the gifts and the money dance.

The practical couple revealed that they were truly trying to save money because the bride is 8 months pregnant. Because she’s going to give birth soon, it was really a good idea for them to save money by having this simple wedding reception.

It was even the bride, still wearing her gown, who ordered the food at the counter. She’s really something, huh?

Netizens expressed admiration over this couple’s decision, saying that being practical truly wins – and everyone at the wedding still went home with full tummies, anyway.

Ukay Ukay Seller Finds 550k Yen (Php240k) from Wallet Inside Used Jacket

Are you fond of buying ukay ukay stuff? Have found something interesting or valuable inside? Well, one ukay ukay seller found 550k yen (Php240k) inside a wallet with no IDs – and he plans to use the money to expand his business! Wow.

Ukay Ukay Seller Finds Fortune Inside Used Jacket

For many people, particularly in the third world or developing countries, ukay ukay items are a cheap way of getting ‘new’ clothes, bags, shoes, and other items. While there are many items that are old, many are actually like new or would easily look great after washing or cleaning.

And there are some buyers or sellers who were actually lucky enough to find valuables or money inside! Others got hold of rare or limited-edition bags, clothes, and shoes!

In Petaling Jaya in Selangor, Malaysia, 29-year-old ukay ukay seller Wan Mohamad Adam Wan Mohamed bought two bundles of used clothes from a warehouse in Wakaf Baru.

He paid RM50 (Php600) for each bundle.

I opened the sack of clothes to arrange the items as I plan to sell them as a bundle. I found a black wallet in one of the coats in the sack,” Mohamed explained.

I was surprised to see so much cash. I counted the amount before taking photos and uploading them onto my Facebook page at 9.20pm yesterday.

He received various reactions after posting the windfall, with some saying that he should find the owner.

But the wallet didn’t have any IDs or anything that would have identified the owner. Also, since the wallet contained yens, it mostly came from Japan.

Because there seems no way for Mohamed to find the original owner of this wallet, he considered it as a lucky windfall. He plans on using the money to buy more sacks of ukay ukay to sell at his shop.
