Siblings Go Viral for Being #1 in Their Respective Board Exams
Siblings go viral for being #1 in their respective board exams – and we’re all quite amazed! Aren’t they impressive?
Siblings, Top #1 in Board Exams
It is said that certain traits or talents run in the family – and that’s exactly what the Ramirez family of Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental proved.
Recently, Abigail Ramirez ranked #1 in the November 2022 Nurse Licensure Examination with a rating of 90%. She completed her nursing degree from SPUD (St. Paul University Dumaguete) as magna cum laude.
That’s an incredible feat for this young lady. But what’s even more incredible is that her older brother, Alec Benjamin Ramirez, was also the #1 when he took the 2017 Geologist Licensure Examination. He finished his college education from NORSU (Negros Oriental State University), a public school in Dumaguete City.

It isn’t surprising that Abigail looks up to her brother.
“I made him as my role model. I wanted to be like him, so talagang sumikap ako in my own way. Inspirasyon ko rin naman iyong ibang mga kapatid ko, pero dahil kami yung mas magkakalapit ng edad, siya ang mas nakita kong motivation,” the registered nurse said.
The two are from a family of achievers and had grown up receiving support from their parents, especially in everything relating to academics.
Since elementary, the siblings have been consistent honor students. They also graduated from the Ramon Teves Pastor Memorial – Dumaguete Science High School, a public school for advanced students.

Abigail plans to teach at her college alma mater as a way of giving back.
“Nursing is really a hard profession. It may break you a couple of times. But just the process, trust the hardships that you are going to face, because these will help you become stronger,” she advices aspiring nurses.
“Have faith in God and trust in God. Offer everything to Him. Whenever you’re down, whenever you feel like giving up, just pray. God will answer all your prayers in one way or another.”
What’s a Science High School?
In the Philippines, science high schools are public schools open to gifted, advanced students who take up subjects that are one or several levels more than what regular schools offer.
These schools also have stricter admission and retention policies than most schools, particularly in academic terms.

Energetic Teachers Give Away Free Breakfast and Allowance to All Students
Energetic teachers give away free breakfast, vitamins, and allowance to all their students – and netizens can’t help but applaud their efforts.
Many also wish that other schools can also have a similar program for their learners, especially in the poorest areas where many kids go to school on an empty stomach…
Energetic Teachers Go Viral for Big Hearts
Lots of families in the Philippines live below the poverty line, and countless kids go to school without eating anything at home because they don’t have enough money to eat three times a day.

In Bag-ong Anonang Diut Elementary School in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental, some energetic teachers led by Sir Jeric Maribao of Jerics Channel provided food for all the learners, plus some extra cash or snacks they can enjoy.

The video shared on the teacher and content creator’s page showed that the students were asked to answer certain class-related questions, such as addition or multiplication (depending on their level). They get money for getting the right answer but still have a consolation prize if they got it wrong.

The kids are also provided with breakfast – isn’t that wonderful?
You can watch the video of these kind teachers with big hearts for their learners:
Teacher Regularly Provides Breakfast for Learners
This isn’t the first time that Sir Jeric went viral.
Several times in the past, his videos gained national attention for how he goes the extra mile for his students, including creating lessons that truly catch their attention.

He regularly provides them with breakfast out of his own pocket! This gained him much attention on social media, leading some netizens to send money or goods to help fund his heartwarming project for his learners.

There are even times when he wakes up as early as 3AM just to prepare the food for his learners. He’s truly an admirable and dedicated teacher!
Feeding Program in Schools
Some schools have a feeding program, sometimes funded by the government but others are provided by the teachers or the parents need to contribute and prepare food for the students.
Considering the sheer volume of students in public schools, however, many of these feeding programs don’t last long unless the parents or teachers can continue covering the expenses.
There are also government-funded feeding programs but in many places, these are only available for a limited number of learners.

Whamos Gets Life Insurance for Baby Meteor from 2022 Savings
Social media personality and content creator Whamos Cruz recently got life insurance for Baby Meteor from the money that he and his partner saved in 2022.
He encourages other parents to do the same and think of their children’s future, gaining praise from netizens who are happy that he’s teaching financial literacy and saving to his followers.
Whamos Goes Viral for Savings and Baby Meteor’s Life Insurance
Time and time again, we hear of former actors and artists who are now living dirt poor, having squandered the money they earned from the peak of their success or losing their hard-earned money in wrong investments or through bad managers.
That’s why it’s refreshing to see new-generation stars who are trying their best to secure their finances by opening a business or setting aside money, including getting an insurance policy, for their children and themselves.

Recently, content creator and social media personality Whamos Cruz shared that he and his partner Antonette Gail Del Rosario got life insurance for their baby, to help secure Baby Meteor’s future.

He explains that they were saving money in 2022 – and that seems like a couple savings challenge; although he also added that the contents of their individual savings were roughly the same amount.
After opening both containers which are made of glass and wood, Whamos counted the money – and it totaled as much as Php650,000! Wow.

The TikTok star explained that he isn’t sharing this to brag about his money but to encourage other parents to save for their children’s future.
He added that it might even be better if other couples begin saving money even before having any children. That can help them jumpstart their children’s future.
Insurance for Children
There are many perks of getting life insurance for children – and one of these is getting the policy at a lower amortization than if the child gets the policy as an adult.
There are lots of different insurance companies offering various products for children and families, including SunLife, PruLife UK, and Manulife.

First Aeta to Pass Criminology Board Exams, Plans to Join Police Force
The first Aeta to pass the Criminology board exams plans to join the police force – and everyone’s cheering him on.
His feat even got the governor’s attention.
Aeta Passes Criminology Board Exams
The Aeta community is celebrating the win of Dexter Santos Valenton, a 23-year-old guy who recently passed the Criminology Board Exam conducted by the PRC (Professional Regulation Commission).
A resident of Barangay San Ramon in Floridablanca town, Pampanga, the young Aeta is believed to be the first to pass the Criminology board exams.
Gov. Dennis Pineda said that Valenton might also be the first member of the indigenous community, not just the Aeta community, to be part of the police force in their province.

The chief of the provincial social welfare and development office, Elizabeth Baybayan, also confirmed the young Aeta’s achievement.
“We have many Aeta who passed the licensure exam for teachers. Dexter was the first to pass the criminology exam,” she explained.
Like many Aetas, Valenton’s family hardly had enough money to send him to school. They were farmers but were deep in debt from traders, known as sakadoras, and have nine children to send to school and feed.
But these challenges didn’t stop Valenton from dreaming of becoming a policeman – even if that means walking for hours so he can attend his classes in elementary and high school.
He was able to go to college, thanks to the provincial government’s scholarship program.
When he finally graduated from college, he still had another hurdle because he needed to pass the Criminology board exams. Thankfully, the governor also shouldered the review fees plus his board and lodging expenses.
“I am elated. My only goal was to pass, but I am being praised for bringing honor to the Aeta [community],” he told the Inquirer.
His plan now is to become a policeman so he can help his tribe and his family.
Who are the Aetas?
The Aetas are the aborigines or the original people that inhabited the Philippines. They are considered the first migrants to the Philippines, having done so during the last glacial period or around 20,000 years ago.
This was when the land bridges appeared after the sea level sank nearly 100 meters.
