Netizen Simply Makes Use of MS Excel to Create Amazing Painting of Luneta Park

Using a total of 87,346 cells on MS Excel, one netizen made a rather impressive painting of Luneta Park! His masterpiece would soon go viral, with many other netizens saying that they might also start doing this to get their minds off the community quarantine.

Luneta Park Painting with MS Excel

On March 20, Robert Stephen Nuñez shared the painting he was able to make on MS Excel. It impressed so many netizens who could not believe that this could actually be done. After all, MS Excel is not something that you associate with painting – you have MS Paint or some other tool for that.

MS Excel is a tool for making spreadsheets, calculations, reports, and other mathematical items, not something you use for painting! But Nuñez proved us all wrong after he managed to accomplish this impressive feat.

The painting of Luneta Park looks so nice, with the monument looking so grand in the middle while people could be seen hanging out at the foreground. Just like the real park, there are plenty of trees and flagpoles with Philippine flags flying up high.

Perhaps he did some copy-paste of the cells so the flagpoles are identical. But copy-paste or not, this artwork is so impressive! Many netizens were also amazed by the details in the painting, including the distinct appearance of the people and animals.

And if you look closely, you can see a drama about to unfold in some of the characters in the painting… Did you see it? It’s wonderful how Nuñez was able to also add a story into the artwork, even without putting any words in or adding a hint on his post.

Painting with Excel

While Nuñez impressed many Pinoys, he’s not actually the first one to think of creating a painting with MS Excel. Japanese artist Tatsuo Horiuchi went viral some years ago for using the same media to create. It’s hard to believe that Horiuchi’s works are made from MS Excel because he actually makes lifelike illustrations.

Ukay Ukay Seller Finds 550k Yen (Php240k) from Wallet Inside Used Jacket

Are you fond of buying ukay ukay stuff? Have found something interesting or valuable inside? Well, one ukay ukay seller found 550k yen (Php240k) inside a wallet with no IDs – and he plans to use the money to expand his business! Wow.

Ukay Ukay Seller Finds Fortune Inside Used Jacket

For many people, particularly in the third world or developing countries, ukay ukay items are a cheap way of getting ‘new’ clothes, bags, shoes, and other items. While there are many items that are old, many are actually like new or would easily look great after washing or cleaning.

And there are some buyers or sellers who were actually lucky enough to find valuables or money inside! Others got hold of rare or limited-edition bags, clothes, and shoes!

In Petaling Jaya in Selangor, Malaysia, 29-year-old ukay ukay seller Wan Mohamad Adam Wan Mohamed bought two bundles of used clothes from a warehouse in Wakaf Baru.

He paid RM50 (Php600) for each bundle.

I opened the sack of clothes to arrange the items as I plan to sell them as a bundle. I found a black wallet in one of the coats in the sack,” Mohamed explained.

I was surprised to see so much cash. I counted the amount before taking photos and uploading them onto my Facebook page at 9.20pm yesterday.

He received various reactions after posting the windfall, with some saying that he should find the owner.

But the wallet didn’t have any IDs or anything that would have identified the owner. Also, since the wallet contained yens, it mostly came from Japan.

Because there seems no way for Mohamed to find the original owner of this wallet, he considered it as a lucky windfall. He plans on using the money to buy more sacks of ukay ukay to sell at his shop.

Where to Buy Ukay Ukay Bundle

Depending on your location, there might be sellers that sell bulk bales of ukay ukay. You can find them on Facebook or online shops such as Shopee and Lazada. Other local ukay ukay sellers also use Alibaba and other warehouse bulk sellers to buy their bundles.
