Mom Gives Away 1-Month-Old Baby, Takes Her Away from Adoptive Mom after 13 Years

Netizens are angry at the biological mother for taking a 13-year-old girl from her adoptive mom who cared for her since she was still a sick 1-month-old baby.

Carolina Mayorca, a 48-year-old building attendant in Pasay City, was asked to adopt the child back in 2006. At the time, Nanay Carolina was still working as guard at the LRT line when a stranger approached her, asking if she could adopt her baby who was so sick at the time.

This woman is Gloria Acuesta, a 41-year-old housewife from Novaliches, Quezon City. She gave away her daughter, 13-year-old Grade 7 student Princess, back when the child was just 1 month old. Nanay Carolina told Princess that she’s adopted. Later, Princess asked whether she could meet her biological parents; Nanay Carolina found Nanay Gloria and let them meet.

According to Nanay Gloria, Princess later messaged her older brother to get her from Nanay Carolina’s house because she is afraid of her adoptive mother who allegedly hits her when she is doing something Nanay Carolina does not want. Raffy Tulfo pointed out that Nanay Carolina has the right to discipline her, especially because she is ‘pasaway’.

Netizens are taking Nanay Carolina’s side, saying that she is only trying to discipline Princess and that it is quite obvious that she loves the teen so much, particularly because she cared for the young girl ever since she was still a baby.

As they faced each other on Raffy Tulfo in Action, Nanay Gloria had more allegations against Nanay Carolina, but Princess is willing to go back to her adoptive mother. Since the case is made complicated by Princess’ doctored birth certificate, Tulfo refers the matter to a lawyer and the local social services office.

Can You Register an Adopted Baby Directly to Your Name?

While it is tempting to simply register an adopted baby under your name in the birth certificate, this is actually against the law under falsification of public documents. Besides, DNA tests will later prove that the birth certificate is false.

To adopt a child, follow the legal proceedings by first reporting the case to social services so you can obtain legal papers. This is very important to avoid cases like what happened to Nanay Carolina.

Couple Flexes 5-Digit Savings after Choosing to Make All Php50 Bills ‘Invisible’

A couple recently flexed their 5-digit savings after choosing to make all Php50 bills as ‘invisible’. Thanks to their savings, they were able to have enough cash to start building their house. Truly inspiring, huh?

‘Invisible’ Php50 Challenge

It was last year when Kember Flores Casabuena heard about the ‘invisible’ Php50 challenge while watching an episode of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

At first, Kember put the money inside a shoebox and encouraged her partner, Alphie Castante Olvis, to join her in saving his Php50 bills, too. Kember said that her partner was not so keen on the idea at first but was later encouraged to also add his Php50 bills to the box after seeing her doing this enthusiastically.

Kember and Alphie were so determined to do the challenge that they would really save up all the Php50 bills, even if they receive several bills as change. It was difficult to follow but they aimed to truly make the Php50 bills invisible so they can save up enough money to start building a house for themselves.

As the months passed, their savings filled the shoe box, but they did not think about stopping. So, they bought an empty can of paint to transfer their ‘invisible’ savings.

According to Kember, her partner works as tile setter while she simply stays at home. Yet Alphie’s job is not regular and there were times when he didn’t have any work, but the two chose to live within their means and continued with their savings challenge.

Recently, as the COVID-19 crisis raged, the two faced a lot of financial challenges but they were able to pull through with the other savings they had.

When they finally opened the can filled with Php50 bills, they were so happy to see that the 5-digit savings may already be used to build their own house. It will be a small and simple one but the couple feels happy that they will no longer be renting.

What is the ‘Invisible’ Php50 Challenge?

In this savings challenge, one renders all Php50 bills as ‘invisible’ and makes sure to saved them up.

Dialysis Patient Seeks Help after Husband Left Her for Nurse at Treatment Facility

A dialysis patient seeks the help of Raffy Tulfo in Action after her husband left her for a nurse at the treatment facility. What’s really sad is that the nurse had become her friend and she was actually the one who introduced the two!

Nurse Steals Patient’s Husband

Rica De Vera is a patient undergoing dialysis at the hospital where nurse Vera Mae Galang Barrameda used to work. Because Rica regularly goes to the hospital for her dialysis sessions, she befriended many of the nurses there, including Vera Mae.

As friends, Rica often talks to Vera Mae about her husband who’s a seafarer. She feels happy that he supports them and had always been a good husband to her. On the other hand, Vera Mae shared that she’s annulled from her husband who was also a seaman because the latter had lots of women behind her back.

Knowing that Vera Mae had a bad experience with a cheating husband, Rica did not expect that she would actually steal her man! When Niko De Vera, Rica’s husband, was set to go home, Vera Mae requested Rica to ask whether he could her (the nurse) some bra. Niko didn’t mind.

When Niko arrived in the Philippines, Rica introduced the two. She trusts her husband and Vera Mae is her friend. Since Niko was often the one to take her to the hospital for dialysis and treats her to a meal afterwards, she didn’t see nothing wrong in asking him to message Vera Mae for advice on medicines and food she needed as she was feeling weak.

But she didn’t think the two would go and have a relationship behind her back. What’s worse, Niko left her and their kids for the nurse. Rica was able to get her kicked out from her job due to the relationship, but Niko supported the nurse so she could go to the US.

The poor patient had to seek help from Tulfo to find justice against her husband and her former nurse!
