Mom Complains to Tulfo after Being Made ‘Slave’ by Daughter, But Truth is Complete Opposite

A 53-year-old mom went to Raffy Tulfo in Action to seek help against her daughter, saying that the young lady is making her a slave at her own home. But the truth would later come out – and it’s the complete opposite!

According to Nanay Luningning Rogando, 53 years old, her daughter owns a property at Tivoli Garden Residences in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila and would make her clean it while she also takes care of her grandchild. She feels that her daughter looks down on her because the younger woman is already rich.

Aside from the house in Mandaluyong, Raquel Tan has houses in Imus and other places, Nanay Luningning said. Because she takes care of Raquel’s child, she feels so sad that the younger woman would treat her like a slave and still make her clean the house.

But as Nanay Luningning’s children entered the TV5 studio, the male child hugged her tight and cried. Raquel also enters, crying, and accusing Nanay Luningning of making up stories.

According to Raquel, Nanay Luningning has thirteen children. Of the thirteen, she’s the only one who has a better life. But she didn’t leave them behind. Instead, she makes sure that her parents and siblings would have a good life.

Raquel bought them a house – and they are living there free of charge, with free electricity, free water, free food, free everything! She even gave them a computer shop and videoke for rent so they can income; she didn’t even get any of the profit, but her parents and siblings are still deep in debt.

She would visit them sometimes – and would get angry to see that the house is so dirty. But when she asks them to clean, they get angry. So, she cleans there, too. She also washes their clothes when she visits!

Even during outings, she pays for everyone because she wants them all to be happy, yet they are angry at her and think she is greedy. Tsk. Tsk.

You are blessed. We all have a cross to bear – and your cross is your siblings who don’t have a job,” Tulfo tells her, advising her not to give up on her parents.

What’s a Cross to Bear?

A cross is geometric figure consisting of two intersecting lines. However, this word is used figuratively to mean a burden to bear, just like the cross that Jesus had to bear.

Due to Unpaid Rent, Landlady Removes Roof of House Rented by Pregnant Woman

Due to unpaid rent, a heartless landlady removes the roof and even the door of the house rented by a pregnant woman! Kind neighbors had to help her out, especially because it was raining when this happened. Tsk. Tsk.

Unpaid Rent Due to Crisis

The COVID-19 crisis has affected a lot of people, with many losing their jobs and not being able to pay the rent or amortization for their homes. What is sad is that though the government specifically told landlords to provide a grace period for their renters, many still force them to pay up.

There have already been a number of reports of families being forced out of their rented homes because they were unable to pay the rent. But others have a different way of doing it.

One heartless landlady could not forcibly evict her tenants because of the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, officially designated as Republic Act No. 11469. However, she did something that is still akin to forcing them out: removing the roof and door of the rented house! Tsk. Tsk.

In a video shared by concerned neighbor Czairra Alliyah Cheng, a family could be seen scrambling to take their things out of harm’s way as the rain poured down inside their house because the roof was gone.

It turned out that the roof was removed by a certain ‘Aling Tess’ who owns the rented house. According to the post by Cheng, the family was unable to pay the rent because the pregnant woman’s husband is stuck by the lockdown and is in Bulacan.

The heartless landlady removed the roof and door, telling Cheng she will also remove her door if she keeps interfering. Cheng and the family already took the matter to the barangay.

Rent Payment in Bayanihan to Heal as One Act

Tenants may enjoy extended deadline to pay rent under the ‘Bayanihan’ law. Under the law, the President is given power to “provide for a minimum of 30-day grace period on residential rents falling due within the period of the enhanced community quarantine, without incurring interests, penalties, fees, and other charges.”

The Facebook page of Chacha Special Binalot Sa Dahon, a restaurant in San Pedro, Laguna, shared the bad experience they had with a fake order they received from someone who claims to be a ‘blogger’.

A certain Reynan Gañete made an order from the restaurant, to be delivered at around 7PM to 8PM. The order was worth Php1,011 and they charged him only Php50 for the delivery fee. This person told them to bring change for Php1,500.

Close to 7PM, the restaurant asked him for the landmark as the rider was already on the way to bring the food to the customer’s house. But the customer told them to cancel the order, saying that his cousins chose to just cook pancit canton instead of the food they ordered from the restaurant.

The restaurant told him the food was already cooked and was even being delivered to his house at the time he was chatting with them. But the guy told them to simply tell the rider that the order was canceled because they’ll be eating pancit canton instead.

Even though the restaurant told him the food was ready and on the way the customer just laughed it off and told them he’s not paying because this is actually a prank! When the restaurant pointed out that they were just trying to make a living, the ‘blogger’ said they were also doing the same thing…

Catfishing for ‘Pranks’

Netizens were angry at the ‘blogger’ guy named Reynan Gañete and they shared his photos, but it turned out the guy’s face was simply used by the fake account!

While catfishing is popular as a means of finding online lovers, it is also being used to make ‘pranks’, such as the one that victimized the restaurant.

Pangan finally fulfilled his dream of going to a foreign country to work. As an international student, he was allowed to work part-time. Thus, he found a job as a housekeeper at a hotel, earning $14 to $15 per hour.

Mahirap magkudkod din ng mga kubeta. Tama lang naman ‘yung mga kikitain namin just to pay for the house rent,” Pangan admitted.

A manager at a rehab facility in New Jersey, Pangan’s mom Generosa did not approve of his choice of work.

Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Franklin, hindi ako nagsakripisyo, nagpakahirap para makatapos ka [tapos] ipinagpalit mo bilang housekeeper.’ Masakit sakin ‘yon,” she said.

Pangan was determined to work, despite being a housekeeper. He felt that he was one step closer to his dream. But the COVID-19 crisis hit. The university was closed and Pangan lost his job at the hotel. He didn’t know what to do and thought about giving up, unsure about his future now.

But he weighed his options and decided to try find a job. With the pandemic affecting so many places, there’s a shortage of healthcare workers. Thanks to a friend, he landed a job as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at a retirement home.

The retirement home had several positive cases but his training as nurse came in handy. As a frontliner handling COVID-19 positive patients, he has to work covered with PPEs. He remains optimistic that he would live through the crisis and see his family again, whom he had not seen in over 8 years.

Nakakapangamba, kasi s’yempre ‘yung paa mo, parang ‘pag papasok ka sa trabaho, ‘yung isa nasa hukay. Pinagpe-pray ko every day, sana matapos na ‘to. Sana matupad ‘yung pangarap ko, nag-iisa lang ‘yun, makasama ko ‘yung nanay ko, makasama ko ‘yung kapatid ko,” Pangan said.
