Meeting Between Mom and Daughters Who Fought Over Sushi Angers Netizens

As children, we are taught to respect our elders, particularly our parents who gave us life. Sadly, there are many children who grow up to be disrespectful and don’t care about their parents. Now that they are rich or are successful in life, they forget that they owe their lives to their parents and that they would have been nothing if not for their parents.

Recently, a mother went to Raffy Tulfo to ask for help because she could no longer take the cold treatment she gets from her daughters even though they live in the same house. Nanay Maria Magdalena Austria, 62, told Tulfo that the sushi incident happened in 2017 but her daughters have not talked to her ever since.

In the meeting between mother and her two daughters, netizens were angered at how the younger one, Kren, refused to hug her mother and was shouting at her. The younger woman angrily told her mother she would only forgive her if she, the mother, shows sincerity; she claims that her mother had talked about their fight behind her back and that she felt insulted about how their mother treated them.

Kren also argued that she had only slapped her mother with a slipper because the older woman had chased her around the house and hit her first. But Tulfo sided with Nanay Magdalena, saying Kren had no right to talk back on her mother or slap her with a slipper because no matter what, she owes her life to her mother.

The young woman claimed that everything they had was from Irish, the older sister’s earnings as overseas Filipino workers.

At the end of the meeting, Irish warmed up to her mother and admitted she loves her; yet Kren remained angry and refused to hug her. A tearful Nanay Magdalena thanked Tulfo for the help.

Thankfully, a week later, Nanay Magdalena and Irish finally gave each other a tearful real hug. Irish promised to help bridge the gap between her younger sister and their mother – and Nanay Magdalena was finally very happy…

Atty. Rowena Soriano clarified that UP Manila doesn’t have a College of Law – UP Law is in UP Diliman.

The UP Manila Department of Social Sciences also denied affiliations with Poblete, clarifying that they have no records of Poblete ever attending their school. Also, only one person has ever been awarded as summa cum laude from the UP Manila Political Science program – and that’s Ms. Georgina Mia B. Gato in 2019.
