Help pours in for a nearly blind vendor who was paid with fake money supposedly worth Php1k – not only did he lose some goods but had also given a change of Php900 to the buyer! Tsk. Tsk.

Nearly Blind Vendor Paid with Fake Money

A nearly blind vendor, Sabdullah Amantar, lost some goods and money when someone paid him a fake Php1,000 bill. What’s worse is that he even gave that person change worth Php900 – and the CCTV cameras in the area aren’t clear enough to help catch the culprit.

In a post by JnE FamVlog, a witness said that they noticed the fake money paid to the old, nearly blind vendor selling face masks in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu.

The person, who was riding a motorcycle, bought Php100 worth of goods and paid Php1,000 to the old vendor who gave them Php900 change. But the other customer noticed that the person used fake money to pay – but that person quickly rushed off.

The witnesses were unable to stop the culprit, so they brought the old man to the barangay hall to blotter the incident.

Plenty of netizens sent varied amounts of donations – and the total amount is now several times the money he lost. Local officials also visited his home to bring groceries and help bring him to the clinic to possibly fix his eyesight.

How to Identify Fake Philippine Money

The easiest way to tell is to use a fake money checker, but since you can’t bring it around, it’s important to learn how to do it manually.

Some things to check:

  • The paper should be rough and feel different than ordinary paper
  • Watermark (“apparition” image) if you hold the money under light
  • Red and blue security fiber (thin yet visible lines) randomly spread on the front and back of the money
  • See-through babaylan script
  • Increasing font size and thickness for the serial number

It’s a funny play with words that got netizens laughing.

Noreen Anne Princess Tiempo shared the photos of the J&T delivery rider who also took some photos of the pregnant woman as proof of delivery.

Mom Shares Hilarious Photo of Kids Sleeping on the Floor While Cat Uses Bed

A mom shares a hilarious photo of her kids sleeping on the floor while their cat uses the bed. You certainly know who’s the boss in this house, right? LOL

Hilarious Photo Shows Kids on Floor While Cat Uses Bed

Pets such as cats and dogs enjoy varied privileges in different homes. While many dogs are left outside the house, others are also allowed to be inside and even sleep in their owner’s bedrooms.

Other pets have their own beds, while others share the beds with their owners.

But in the house of fur mom Maricris Mararac of Trece Mariteres, Cavite, it’s an entirely different story. Like in other homes, their cat sleeps on their bed – but her kids are the ones who sleep on the floor! Oooops. Did the rules change, somehow?

Sa bahay, hindi po mga anak ko nakahiga sa foam, kundi ‘yung pusa po…” Maricris captioned a photo she posted on social media.

She explained that they adopted the now 2-year-old cat, named Anyo, during the pandemic. They found him as a kitten in the streets and took him home.

But the stray cat would soon become a huge part of their family – and the real king inside her kids’ bedroom. LOL.

A Pinoy kid becomes the chess champion at an international competition despite the hardships he faced, including 1) sleeping at the airport due to lack of funds and 2) flying to Thailand without his dad who arrived much later than he did.

Another fine example is the Pinoy kid how recently became the chess champion at an international competition in Thailand.

Bince Rafael Operiano won the championship, going home with the trophy and four medals at the 6th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand last November 4-12, 2022.

Yet his journey wasn’t an easy one.

Sleeping at the Airport, Traveling without Dad

Due to limited funds and while waiting for the plane ticket sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission, Bince and his father spent three nights at the airport with those benches as their bed,” shared Albay 3rd District Representative Fernando Cabredo.

The little boy had to travel first to Thailand without his father, Mr. Ben Operiano.

With the hardships the boy faced, it wasn’t surprising that he was seen crying during the first day of the competition.

He even lost to his opponents that day. But it was a good thing he wasn’t eliminated.

Bince braved the first game with no parent around to cheer him on. He felt pressured and lost to his opponents in the first games,” the congressman added.

Gumanda naman ang laro nito nang dumating na ang ama. From then on, Bince won the succeeding rounds and eventually made it to the top.

Inspired when his dad finally arrived, the kid steadily rose up the ranks and became the champion in the competition.
