Help pours in for an 80-year-old grandpa jailed for taking mangoes from a tree he planted a long time ago. Several celebrities, vloggers, and even controversial personality Xian Gaza came forward to offer him some help – and everyone else want to know the identity of the heartless person who sent this old to jail!

Grandpa Jailed for Taking Mangoes

Would you send someone to jail for getting some fruits from your house? Well, that depends on the situation, but netizens and celebrities are now up in arms against the person who sent an old man to jail over some mangoes he got from the yard!

Noong binakuran nila, sinakop naman na nila pero tanim ko naman yun…” says Lolo Narding Floro, the 80-year-old grandpa jailed for taking mangoes from a tree he planted a long time ago.

He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest last January 13 in Barangay Bantog in Asingan, Pangasinan.

He explained that he had planted that tree and he thought they owned the place, but someone insisted they owned the place and put a fence around the property. But he thinks they still own it.

But the new owners refused to accept his explanation and wanted to charge him Php6,000 for the mangoes he got. When he couldn’t pay them, they sent him to jail.

The court later set a bail of Php6,000 for Lolo Narding’s release, but because he didn’t have money, the policemen at Asingan Police Station contributed their own money to pay for it.

However, since the area is in Alert Level 3, his release papers haven’t been signed yet.

But angry netizens and celebrities vow to help this grandpa seek justice for getting jailed over some mangoes!

Penalty for Theft in the Philippines

The maximum fine for light penalties under the Revised Penal Code, is up to Php40,000 with imprisonment of “a minimum of one (1) day to a maximum of six (6) months.”

Fines that exceed Php6,000 are considered “afflictive penalties.” They carry an imprisonment of a minimum of 12 years and 1 day up to a maximum of 20 years (for amounts greater than Php1.2 million).

It’s a funny play with words that got netizens laughing.

Noreen Anne Princess Tiempo shared the photos of the J&T delivery rider who also took some photos of the pregnant woman as proof of delivery.

Mom Shares Hilarious Photo of Kids Sleeping on the Floor While Cat Uses Bed

A mom shares a hilarious photo of her kids sleeping on the floor while their cat uses the bed. You certainly know who’s the boss in this house, right? LOL

Hilarious Photo Shows Kids on Floor While Cat Uses Bed

Pets such as cats and dogs enjoy varied privileges in different homes. While many dogs are left outside the house, others are also allowed to be inside and even sleep in their owner’s bedrooms.

Other pets have their own beds, while others share the beds with their owners.

But in the house of fur mom Maricris Mararac of Trece Mariteres, Cavite, it’s an entirely different story. Like in other homes, their cat sleeps on their bed – but her kids are the ones who sleep on the floor! Oooops. Did the rules change, somehow?

Maricris captioned a photo she posted on social media.

She explained that they adopted the now 2-year-old cat, named Anyo, during the pandemic. They found him as a kitten in the streets and took him home.

But the stray cat would soon become a huge part of their family – and the real king inside her kids’ bedroom. LOL.

Pinoy Kid Becomes Chess Champion, After Sleeping at Airport for 3 Days Due to Budget Issues

A Pinoy kid becomes the chess champion at an international competition despite the hardships he faced, including 1) sleeping at the airport due to lack of funds and 2) flying to Thailand without his dad who arrived much later than he did.

Another fine example is the Pinoy kid how recently became the chess champion at an international competition in Thailand.

Bince Rafael Operiano won the championship, going home with the trophy and four medals at the 6th Eastern Asia Youth Chess Championship held in Bangkok, Thailand last November 4-12, 2022.

Yet his journey wasn’t an easy one.

Sleeping at the Airport, Traveling without Dad

Due to limited funds and while waiting for the plane ticket sponsored by the Philippine Sports Commission, Bince and his father spent three nights at the airport with those benches as their bed,” shared Albay 3rd District Representative Fernando Cabredo.

The little boy had to travel first to Thailand without his father, Mr. Ben Operiano.

With the hardships the boy faced, it wasn’t surprising that he was seen crying during the first day of the competition.

He even lost to his opponents that day. But it was a good thing he wasn’t eliminated.

Bince braved the first game with no parent around to cheer him on. He felt pressured and lost to his opponents in the first games,” the congressman added.

From then on, Bince won the succeeding rounds and eventually made it to the top.

Inspired when his dad finally arrived, the kid steadily rose up the ranks and became the champion in the competition.
