It is never too late to reach for your dreams, because there is no age limit to finding success! This holds true to many people who strove hard to fulfill their dreams even if they are past the retirement age.

Lolo Benjamin is currently enrolled as freshman Political Science student at the University of Pangasinan – and has gone viral after a classmate shared his story on Facebook. Impressed by Lolo Benjamin’s determination, Christian Monses posted pictures of this admirable grandpa on his Facebook account.

Christian also shared that Lolo Benjamin was not able to complete his education due to hardships in life. Like many young students in the Philippines, he had to find a job after high school. Later on, he had a family and no longer had the time to go back to school.

But now that his wife has gone to heaven and their kids are all grown up, with families of their own, Lolo Benjamin had plenty of time in his hands to finally fulfill his dream!

So, he went back to school.

At his age, most people have long retired from their jobs – after all, the mandatory retirement age in the Philippines is at 65 years old. But Lolo Benjamin does not care that he’s too old to find a job if he graduates from college, he just wants to fulfill the dream of earning a degree.

Sisters Try to Take Old Brother Not Cared for by Wife, Tulfo Sees Through Their Complaints

Two sisters went to Raffy Tulfo in Action to seek help for their old brother who was allegedly not cared for by his wife, but Tulfo sees through their complaints as something fueled by money.

Norberto Guinto is now 67 years old but was said to be a former farmer in San Miguel, Bulacan. His sisters Estrelita Guinto, a 58-year-old housewife, and Josephine Guinto, a 52-year-old businesswoman, want to get him back from his wife who was allegedly not taking care of him anymore.

The sisters both claimed that their brother was not fed properly by his wife, Emelinda Guinto. Instead, she is supposedly giving him urine and excrement as food – and the claim was vehemently denied by Nanay Emelinda.

The old woman revealed that in their 30+ years of living together, she had always been the one who was working as she sells vegetables to make ends meet. Her husband never worked; instead, he would often go out drinking with friends and giving her a headache.

This was confirmed by Chairman Eduardo Yuson of Brgy. Calumpang in San Miguel, Bulacan who said that this happened before Tatay Norberto was wheelchair-bound.

As the sisters scoffed, they told Tulfo that their sister-in-law has a lot of money, has three motorcycles, and a ‘big house’. They even alleged that Nanay Emelinda has Php1 million that someone in her family was holding for her.

They want to get their brother back and get half of that money plus half of any property the couple owned so they could have money to take care of Tatay Norberto. Tulfo had a good laugh at this, telling the two in their face that they are just after Nanay Emelinda’s hard-earned money.

Netizens also agree, saying this guy should go to his sisters if he wanted, but he shouldn’t have a single cent of the money Nanay Emelinda earned!

Savings Goal: Php1 Million

In life, it really is difficult to save Php1 million, especially for ordinary people who could barely make ends meet and feed their family good meals. But many still hope to save Php1 million in their bank accounts.

To start saving for your first million, save any amount. The first step really is to make saving a habit. Then, find an extra job or open a business from whose earnings go directly to your Php1 million goal.

While it might sound so unrealistic, but who knows? Just believe you can do it!

Ruby Rubillos, a 32-year-old teacher, angrily reported Ma. Elisa Cabeso of Sofia Richest All About Events for ruining her wedding and even asking her to pay for the excess in the wedding guests.

The bride paid Php159,000 for all the services included in the list, plus catering for 150 people, but the coordinator only ordered food that’s only good for 100 from the caterer. She tried to deny this, but the caterers went with the bride to Tulfo because they have not been paid for the order yet!

Ma. Elisa agreed to go to Tulfo to face the bride; she arrived accompanied by her daughter, Juzella Cabeso. She brought photos as evidence against the bride, saying they were able to fulfill what the bride had paid for but want to be paid for the excess of over 150 people who arrived and ate at the wedding reception.

The bride insists she wouldn’t pay for the excess because the caterer had only provided food for 100 people and it was impossible that 250+ had been fed at the event because there were only 100 chairs prepared.

The wedding coordinator kept changing the subject or would not directly answer the bride and the others. When asked whether she would pay the caterers, photographer, and emcee, she said she had not yet received the photos and she didn’t eat the food… Tsk. Tsk.

What Does a Wedding Coordinator Do?

A wedding coordinator acts as liaison officer between the couple and the wedding suppliers. The aim here is for the bride and groom to simply enjoy their wedding, while the wedding coordinator is the one in-charge of all the behind-the-scenes activities to ensure that everything goes as planned.

More often than not, the wedding coordinator is the one who contacts all the wedding suppliers, orders everything and makes sure the suppliers deliver, and ensure that the wedding guests also feel welcomed through ushers provided.
