Two Kids Pooled ‘Pamasko’ to Buy Pizza, Get Free Upgrade from Staff

Two kids who pooled their ‘pamasko’ to buy pizza get a free upgrade from the staff – and their sweet photo quickly goes viral as netizens thought they’re so cute!

Kids Used ‘Pamasko’ to Buy Pizza

During the Christmas season, Filipino kids receive ‘pamasko’ or Christmas gifts from their family members as well as their ninongs and ninangs. While this often comes in the form of toys, clothes, and other gift items, there are also many who simply give out money to these children.

More often than not, parents accompany their children in using their money to buy something for Christmas, but two young boys recently went viral as they enjoyed pizza by themselves, with the money they got from their ‘pamasko’.

In a post that has gone viral on Facebook, Pan Out Pizza shared a photo of the two kids whose names were not revealed.

According to the pizza restaurant, the boys arrived at their place on Christmas day. They did not have a lot of money to buy pizza but after counting their cash and sharing what they both have, the two were able to come up with enough to buy the cheapest pizza the place had to offer.

Ano pong pwede namin bilhin o kasya sa pera namin, yung pinaka mura po?” the two reportedly asked the crew.

They were told that the cheapest option is the 8-inch pizza with ham, bacon, and cheese toppings. According to their Facebook page, the pizza costs Php119.

The crew saw the kids counting their money outside before coming back in to make their order. Thinking that it is sweet of them to share their money with each other, the crew decided to upgrade their order to 12 inches for free as a Christmas gift. The upgraded pizza costs Php169.

The kids also wanted milktea but they didn’t have enough money for that. The kids enjoyed their food and didn’t think they could consume the entire pizza layer but they eventually managed to eat everything.

The pizza restaurant is happy that the two decided to use their money to enjoy a taste of their food.

Christmas Traditions in the Philippines

In the Philippines, Christmas begins in the -ber months or in September. People often set up their Christmas decorations at around this time. Instead of just a Christmas tree, Pinoys also set up a belen. People also do caroling from house to house, attend Simbang Gabi, attend Misa de Gallo and have Noche Buena on Christmas Eve, give out ‘pamasko’ on Christmas day, and stay up to a New Year’s countdown and Buena Noche at midnight.

Teacher Pranks Student with a Birthday Surprise

A teacher pranks student with a birthday surprise – and the entire class is actually in on the secret. The birthday boy’s reaction is priceless!

Wonderful teacher, isn’t he?

Teacher Pranks Student on Birthday

It is said that teachers are their students’ second parents – and that’s true in most cases.

There are even plenty of teachers who go the extra mile to make sure that their students feel special and loved, especially during certain moments or milestones in their lives.

Take for example teacher and digital creator Ariel Casimero Grijaldo Jr. who pranked his student (in a good way!) on his birthday.

The video quickly went viral, gaining over 3.5 million views despite being in Bisaya. Some netizens commented that even if they didn’t understand most of what’s being said on the video, they can feel the emotions that this young man felt throughout the clip.

It started with the teacher berating the young man for not wearing his school uniform.

And that isn’t actually surprising, considering that many teachers are unhappy when their students break the school rules, particularly when it comes to wearing their school uniform.

The teacher also told the young man that being unable to wash his clothes the previous week should be a reason for not wearing one. After all, he had several days to do it.

Again, it’s a good point.

The teacher made him stand up so he will understand what he did wrong.

The student knows that he’s in trouble and that the teacher is right. So, he didn’t show any resistance, although he was clearly embarrassed that everyone in the class heard the teacher berating him in this manner.

But things took a different turn after the teacher announced the consequences he had to face for his actions.

The whole class began singing the “Happy Birthday” – with their teacher as the leader! Awwww.

Some of his classmates went to his seat, carrying a cake.

The teacher explained that the other students were the ones who bought the cake.

What a sweet surprise for this young man couldn’t help but cry tears of joy as he felt overwhelmed by the beautiful prank.

Why Do Schools Require Uniforms?

There are many reasons why schools require uniforms:

  • For the distinct identity of the school population as students of that school
  • Less distraction to the students about their social status because they wear the same thing
  • Teaches discipline to students by letting them follow the rules on what they should and shouldn’t wear
  • Helps students dress smartly and neatly

Share ko lang po ito. This is the reason why I never give sa mga beggars na able naman, and props sa Flying V Molino for giving this guy a chance to work,” wrote a VISOR follower who messaged the page to share the video.

I hope na may makapanood nito at baka sakaling mabiyayaan si sir ng prosthetic leg. Sobrang hanga po ako dyan kay sir na despite his condition, nagta-trabaho sya ng patas.

What an admirable guy!

While the video uploader wasn’t able to get the attendant’s details, it was later revealed that the photo was taken somewhere in Bacoor Boulevard.

Cum Laude Dedicates Success to Scavenger PWD Dad

Life isn’t easy for everyone. In fact, millions of people live in poverty and are having a difficult time making ends meet. Many of them don’t even have enough money to buy food.

What’s impressive, however, is that there are those who live below the poverty line but are striving to ensure that their lives become better through education or starting their own business, even with a small capital.

For Ross Leo Forbes Mercurio and his family, this comes in the form of education when he was sent to college by his dad, a PWD who is also a scavenger.

Mercurio graduated from his course of Bachelor of Science in Agri Business Management and Entrepreneur from the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Lopez Quezon Branch, as cum laude.

He dedicates his success to his dad.

Pa, this is it.

He explained that even if his father is a PWD, he hasn’t heard him complain about life. Instead, his dad just continues on finding stuff he can scavenge to feed and support the family.

For all those sacrifices, Mercurio promises to give back and help ensure his parents will live a better life.
