Teen Who Risked Life to Saved Drowning Dog from River Receives Scholarship, Other Rewards

He risked his life to save a dog from the river – and it wasn’t even theirs! For that, a teen received praise from netizens and got rewarded with a senior high school scholarship, smartphone, and groceries. Wow.

Teen Handsomely Rewarded After Saving a Drowning Dog

Margole Miko Ilagan recently shared a video of the heart-stopping rescue mission that a teen did at the river to save a drowning dog. Netizens were impressed that the teen, identified as Angelo Diolata Flores, risked his life to save the poor creature.

In the clip, Angelo could be seen rushing to the dog’s aid by swiftly moving towards the creature from the side of the sloping dike. It was a difficult feat because there was nothing much for him to hold on to, yet this young man did not mind.

It was also clear from the shouts of encouragement and warning from the people taking the video that the dog wasn’t even theirs. They warned him to be extra careful because the frightened dog might bite him.

But the dog must have sensed that this human wasn’t there to harm it but to save its life. It appears to be whimpering as Angelo tried to gain its trust.

Then, the young man had to face another challenge as he tried to bring the dog out of the river and up the dike. Thankfully, there was a wire he could hold on to in that part of the river. He used that to keep his balance as he pushed the dog up. The mission was a success!

For his heroic deed, Angelo was hailed as Animal Kingdom Foundation’s Young Hero. He also received scholarship for senior high school, smartphone, and grocery items from the Animal Kingdom Foundation.

Stray Kitten Snuggles with Sleeping Delivery Rider Who Often Gives It Food

A stray kitten melted hearts online after it was spotted snuggling with a sleeping delivery rider. Apparently, the young rider has been giving this tiny animal some food – and the kitten thought he’s its fur dad! Awwww. Isn’t this cute?

Stray Kitten Finds Fur Dad in Kind Delivery Rider

It is said that animals can distinguish bad from good people – and that appears to be true in many cases. For example, a teen was able to rescue a stray dog that had falling into a flooded river. Although they don’t know each other, the dog instinctively knew that his person was just trying to help him out.

That also seems to be the case of this stray kitten who apparently thinks that the delivery rider, Rodolfo Elchico, who keeps giving it some food is its fur dad.

Recently, the rider was spotted slumped over his motorcycle, sleeping in between orders. The photo doesn’t appear to be unusual at first glance, but if you look closely, there’s a kitten on his back!

The little one was snuggling with the delivery rider who actually knew that it was there on his back the whole time.

The rider explained that he had fed the kitten twice before, sharing some of his lunch with the stray animal. It must have felt a connection with him, then.

Earlier, he gave it a few slices of the shrimp he packed for his dinner.

It was the security guard of the establishment who snapped the photo and woke him up.

Nang ako ay gumalaw, nasa batok ko pa rin siya, [kaya] yumuko ako papunta sa sahig para makatalon siya at makababa lang,” he said.

The young rider added that this isn’t the first stray animal that he’s bonded with, but the first that he had a picture with.

Can Animals Sense a Bad Person?

It might be hard to believe at times, but animals have long appeared to be able to sense a bad person.

A study conducted by researchers in Kyoto University in Japan showed that if a dog knows that you were lying, it will no longer trust you. In a way, they can sense whether you’re a good person or not.

Instead of complaining about how difficult it was to share a small hut that doesn’t have electricity with so many siblings, they dreamed about building their own homes. They also dreamed about building one for their parents.

According to Sar, they were poor but their parents understood the value of education.

A lot of poor parents make their children find a job at an early age to help support the family, but their parents didn’t do that. Instead, their parents made sure that they all went to school so they can fulfill their dreams of a better life.

Indeed, all their hard work paid off.

Decades later, they now have their own homes and families. But they didn’t forget their dream of building a house for their parents. So, the siblings contributed what they could to upgrade their ancestral home from a hut to a mansion.

But for the many who were actually able to achieve their goal, finding the right motivation is the key.

While that’s certainly difficult to achieve, especially for a busy mom of two, Cringol was able to achieve her weight goal. She admitted that it first started out as a joke with her husband, but she would soon take up the offer – and he followed through with the reward.

So, how was she able to achieve it? Through exercise, she said.

According to Cringol, she exercised twice a day – early morning and before going to bed.
