Parking Boy’ Pays Php175 in Coins, Netizens Applaud Restaurant’s Decision to Accept Payment

For many months, a young boy manning the parking lot outside Yumgyeopsal-Baliwag Branch would only watch as his clients went inside the restaurant to enjoy a feast. Sometimes, he would ask for iced tea or water from the staff who would kindly give him some, without charging him anything.

One day, though, the parking boy was able to earn enough money to finally try the food at the restaurant – and the staff’s decision to accept his payment has earned much praise on social media.

On its official Facebook page, Yumgyeopsal-Baliwag Branch shared a photo of the parking boy as he feasted on the restaurant’s delicious food.

Lagi sya ng hihingi samen ng ice, and ice tea. And then one day he asked my waiter how much daw ba per head, since we have kids rate (4 ft above is regular price) and he’s above 4 ft but he told him na 175 nalang pag kumaen sya, At bumalik nga ang bebe boy at may dalang barya total of P175.00,” the restaurant shared.

Some netizens felt that it was wrong for the restaurant to accept payment from the kid, saying the restaurant could certainly spare some food for the hungry boy. However, many netizens applauded the restaurant’s decision which was explained further in the post.

Of course we accept his payment free cheese and ice cream not because mukha kaming pera but to teach him that if he wants something he have to work for it.

I also learned that there’s nothing wrong of treating yourself when it comes to food once in a while don’t feel guilty imagine this KID treat himself nga e. Tau pa kaya!

Indeed, the restaurant could afford to give him some food for free, but by accepting his money, they gave him something far more valuable! Do you agree?

Guy Brings Life-Size Cutout of Late Mom to ‘Attend’ His Graduation Day

In life, there are so many things that we don’t anticipate. And while we all want to live forever and see our children succeed in life, later have children of their own, and have a great time, not everyone is lucky to experience this.

Paulo John Alinsog recently graduated from college, earning the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Business Management from the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU). While he did not graduate with high honors, partly joking in his post that he’s a “Sana Cum Laude” (cum laude hopeful), he went viral for the life-size cutout he brought to his Graduation Day.

Raised by his single mom, Paulo John knew how much she struggled to make ends meet just so she could send him to private schools, knowing that education is the best gift and inheritance she could give him. Though he later had a stepfather, his mom made sure she never asked for help with Paulo John’s studies.

Paulo John knew that it was his mother’s ultimate dream to see him graduate from college and succeed in life. But fate had other plans. In 2016, he lost her to complications from pneumonia.

While life was not the same without his mother, Paulo John knew that he should work hard to reach their mutual dream. As he graduates from college, he ordered a life-size standee of his mom so she could “attend” his Graduation Day. She might not be there physically, but Paulo John felt happy to have his graduation photos taken with his mother.

Sa pinaka maganda kong Nanay! Ma, graduate na panganay mo sana happy ka jan sa piling ni God. Ito ang gusto mo kaya tinapos ko. Mahal na mahal kita,” Paulo John tweeted.

It touched so many people that the tweet has reached over 46,800 likes and more than 4,600 retweets in just a few days.

Teen Goes Viral as He Cares for Three Younger Siblings, Finds Help in Kind Riders

The fourth of seven siblings, 13-year-old Manuel Olivares stood as parents for his three younger siblings as they live in a rented room in Trece Martires, Cavite.

According to Manuel, they lost their mother to an illness but they were left by their dad after that happened. Though they had elder siblings, it was Manuel who cared for the younger ones because the older siblings had also gone away.

Every day, Manuel would wake up early to cook whatever food was available; though was usually just rice with a viand of soy sauce. Then, he would bathe his siblings and bring them to school. Afterwards, he would ask people from the neighborhood to let him pick up mangoes to sell at the market.

If he’s allowed, he earns about Php100 for a sack of mangoes. He uses the money to buy rice and budgets the remaining amount for their measly viand. If he’s not allowed to get mangoes for the day, he goes around the neighborhood to scavenge for trash he could still sell at the junk shop.

There were many times he would not be able to buy enough food for his siblings.

A neighbor, Neptuno “Nick” Jabonita, took pity on the kids as he hears them crying out of hunger. Aside from giving them food from time to time, Nick also shared their plight with his group of riders. Nick rallied the other riders to help the kids – and it was Michael Abucayan who insisted that the younger ones should be enrolled in school.

According to the young kids’ teacher, some parents noticed that the boys were only wearing house clothes for three days; thus, they got the boys some old uniforms to use. But this help was not enough. Rider Michael messaged Julius Babao for help – and the journalist responded.

Through Mission Possible, the kids were finally able to find help. They were given a few sacks of rice and various food by the program. Through Eric Co, CEO Imus Terminal Mall, the children also received foam mattresses, pillows, cabinet, and some supplies so they could open a mini sari-sari store for livelihood.

Construction Workers Earn Praise as They Honored the Flag While Standing at Scaffolding

These days, a lot of people have forgotten how to pay respect to the flag and the national anthem. Many just continue walking or simply ignore it when the national anthem plays.

This is the reason why a group of construction workers recently earned praise for honoring the flag as they stopped what they were doing to attend the flag ceremony at the school they were working at.

Aaron Niño Occidental shared the photo on his social media account, crediting Ma Froilin Joy Sj Occidental as the one who took the snapshot.

Salute sa mga construction worker ng San Gabriel Elementary School na huminto nung narinig ang pambansang awit. Picture [taken] last friday, Nutrition month,” Occidental wrote.

The three construction workers were assigned to fix some classrooms at San Gabriel Elementary School in Novaliches, Quezon City.

Upon hearing the National Anthem play as the school held its Opening Program for the Nutrition Month celebration, the three construction workers immediately stopped what they were doing. They stood up at attention on the scaffolding they were working on, put their right hand on their chest, and paid respect to the flag the entire time the song played.

The construction workers earned praise from netizens, with many saying that it was wonderful that they knew how to show respect to the flag and the National Anthem. Considering that many people don’t do that anymore, it was great to see these guys becoming an example to many.

A lot of netizens commented that these guys’ teachers back when they were kids should also be commended for instilling values and love for country in them.

But some netizens could not help but point out that while the construction workers paid respect to the flag, the person who took the photo did not! Oooops. But Occidental explained that the photo was taken to honor these guys and to make them a great example for others. Plus, the photo was taken with the left hand while the person was paying respect to the flag with the right hand.

What are the Advantages of Scaffolding in Construction?

The platform is important to ensure that the workers are able to reach higher places they have to work in, while also making sure that they are safe and have a steady place to stand on while they do the job.
