PAL Flight Attendant Praised for Breastfeeding Hungry Infant Mid-Flight
A flight attendant for Philippine Airlines (PAL) recently went viral for a heartwarming act of kindness for a distraught mother who ran out of formula milk for her baby in a domestic flight last Tuesday.
PAL flight attendant Patrisha Organo went above and beyond the call of duty to help a passenger on the flight and the day was made even more special when she passed the ‘check flight’ she needed to undergo.
Organo had recently been promoted to assistant line administrator but needed to undergo the check flight for her to qualify as cabin crew evaluator. She felt that this flight was going to be special but had no idea that it would become extra special for her and a young mother.
“Everything went smoothly until after take off, I heard an infant’s cry, a cry that will make you want to do anything to help. I approached the mother and asked if everything’s okay, I tried to tell her to feed her hungry child. Teary-eyed, she told me that she ran out of formula milk. Passengers started looking and staring at the tiny, fragile crying infant,” Organo shared.
As a mother herself, she knew that the baby was hungry and needed to drink milk but upon learning that the mother had ran out of formula milk, it would have been a difficult situation because there was none for sale on board. Luckily, she had milk as she breastfeeds her child.

“I felt a pinch in my heart. There’s no formula milk onboard. I thought to myself, there’s only one thing I could offer and that’s my own milk. And so I offered,” Organo added.
The Line Administrator on the flight, Ms. Sheryl Villaflor, immediately assisted the mother to the galley so Organo can breastfeed the child in private.
“The baby started rooting, she was so hungry,” the flight attendant revealed.
“I saw the relief on her mother’s eyes. I continued to feed the baby until she fell asleep . I escorted her back to her seat and just before I left, the mother sincerely thanked me.”
What a beautiful act of kindness! Thanks to kind flight attendant, the baby was no longer hungry during the flight.

Proud Vendor Dad Offers Free Taho after Daughter Passes Board Exams for Teachers
One proud vendor dad offered free taho for everyone when his daughter passed the LET (Licensure Examination for Teachers).
Netizens were even more impressed to learn that the young lady passed after doing a self-review.
Truly amazing, right?
Vendor Offers Free Taho after Daughter Passes Teacher’s Board
Passing the board exams is truly a milestone that everyone can be proud of – and most of the time, the parents are their children’s proudest cheerleaders!
Of course, spouses and kids also feel the same thing. For example, a taxi driver offered free rides after his wife passed the LET.

The proud parents of a student who passed that same LET are also offering free taho to their customers.
Bobby and Rose Torallo happily got a tarpaulin up to celebrate the success of their daughter, Rosebel Cielo Torallo. The young woman had graduated cum laude from Baao Community College in Baao, Camarines Sur.

Apparently, based on her mom’s post on Facebook, she had also self-reviewed for the licensure exams – and this made her success even sweeter for the family.
In the post of her mom, Rose, it showed that the family’s main source of income is from selling taho. It was through this that the parents were able to send their kids to school.

Rose lamented that there were times when people looked down on their because they are “just” taho vendors.
Thankfully, the family didn’t mind what these people are saying. Instead, they persevered and put their faith in God.
She thanked all her kids for cooperating and striving hard to succeed in their studies even if their parents are only supporting them by selling taho.

How to Celebrate Passing the Board Exams
There are many ways to celebrate passing the board the exams. Some of these are:
- Throwing a party
- Buying cake
- Going on a trip
- Treating your family, friends, or even strangers to something (such as a free rides from taxi drivers or free taho from vendors)

Jollibee Praised for Hiring PWD Crew (Communicates via Writing or Sign Language)
Jollibee recently earned praise for hiring a PWD crew who can only communicate via writing or sign language.
What’s great is that this isn’t the first time that the Pinoy fast food brand went viral for a similar thing.
Jollibee Goes Viral for Hiring PWD Crew
In the fast-paced world of a fast food restaurant, especially one as popular as Jollibee, the service crew is often busy.
Everyone needs to be ready to help out the customers and work hard to achieve the company’s goals of making them satisfied.

Still, the fast food company is making waves online for hiring a crew member who can only communicate via writing or sign language.
Netizen Mylene Manalo Consignado shared that she was in tears upon seeing a young woman named Maria Celeste working at a Jollibee outlet.

The young lady is in full Jollibee uniform but has a large nametag that also indicates she’s a PWD (person with disability).
The nametag isn’t there for shaming her situation but to warn the customers that she isn’t like the rest of the crew. They can only communicate with her through writing or sign language – and the communication is preferably in English.

The situation is heartwarming, especially because many business establishments aren’t likely to hire PWDs because of their limited abilities. Consider that Jollibee is a busy work place, it’s amazing that Maria Celeste got her chance to be part of the team.

Amazingly, this isn’t a first for the company.
Some months ago, Jollibee was praised for hiring a tattooed guy – considering that people with tattoos are often judged for their inks, particularly in the workplace.
Where to Learn Sign Language
Sign language classes are often offered in special schools, such as those for children/people with disabilities.
You can also find online tutorials or classes.

Polio Survivor Cycled 77.8 km a Week, Worked as Housekeeper to Go To College
A polio survivor has become an inspiration to many after sharing the story of how he cycled 77.8 km a week and worked as a housekeeper during school days so he can go to college.
All these sacrifices made his graduation photos even more inspiring… Isn’t he awesome?
Polio Survivor Cycled 77.8 km a Week to Go to College
These days, we rarely hear news of people contracting polio – that’s thanks to the readily available vaccines that are provided by the government for free.
Many of those who were affected by polio experienced leg paralysis. There were even fatal cases, particularly if the virus affected their breathing muscles. Many ended up with deformed legs.
What’s inspiring is that there are people who didn’t take their situation stop them from reaching for their dreams.

One of these is Jay-Ar Abuda, a graduate of Eastern Samar State University (ESSU) Guiuan campus. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology majoring in Food Technology even with the many challenges.
He’s a polio survivor.
At the end of the week, he would cycle 38.9 kilometers to go home to Quinapondan in Eastern Samar. Then, he would cycle back another to Guiuan where he was studying, Rappler reported.

That’s certainly a challenging feat for the polio survivor, yet he persevered.
Determined to go to school, he works as a housekeeper at the boarding house of a certain “Lola Teldeng” while he’s in Guiuan. This gave him the chance to have free board and lodging while he studied.

Amazingly, this young man also drives a pedicab during his free time so he can support his 70-year-old mother back at their hometown and his younger sister’s studies (she recently finished a tourism course in Tacloban City).
Now that he was able to graduate from college, he plans on finding a job soon so that he can support his mother and sister.

Polio in the Philippines
Thankfully, polio was declared by the WHO (World Health Organization) as officially eradicated in the Philippines since 2000 (although there was an outbreak in 2019-2021).
