Licensed Teacher Becomes Waiter in Kuwait, Admits Feeling Down but Shares Success Story

He graduated from Secondary Education major in English in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, one of the prestigious universities in the Philippines in 2015. But though he is a Licensed Professional Teacher, netizen “JM Papa” would become a waiter in Kuwait.

Admitting to feeling down over what he had gone through, JM Papa would later share his success story in a Facebook post that quickly went viral.

According to him, he was a consistent 100% university scholar and government scholar, too. He was also quite active in school, involved in various activities from singing, dancing, acting, leading, cheerleading, and so much more.

From Teacher to Waiter

Despite being a professional, he found himself working as waiter in a casual-dining restaurant in Kuwait.

From a high-achieving individual to a waiter. When I started working as a waiter, my co-workers were always questioning my decision. You could’ve been teaching in a public school in the PH but why did you choose to be a waiter in Kuwait. It’s solely because of my dream not only for myself but most especially for my family,” he lamented.

He was quick to explain that he’s not putting waiters down, but actually respects them. Yet as a teacher, he felt that he could have done better. But as the months passed and he was able to build a house for his family in a gated subdivision, he felt so much better. After all, the waiter job in Kuwait paid twice the salary of a public school teacher in the Philippines.

From Waiter to HR Coordinator

Yet JM Papa admitted that he felt down and lost his self-confidence, especially because he wasn’t recognized as a good worker at his job. He didn’t have the courage to apply for a higher position. Thankfully, he managed to overcome that eventually.

He got hired as Human Resource (HR) Coordinator at a prestigious general trading & construction company in Kuwait. This definitely helps him feel more confident now – and certainly pays a better job than being a waiter.

Stray Kitten Snuggles with Sleeping Delivery Rider Who Often Gives It Food

A stray kitten melted hearts online after it was spotted snuggling with a sleeping delivery rider. Apparently, the young rider has been giving this tiny animal some food – and the kitten thought he’s its fur dad! Awwww. Isn’t this cute?

Stray Kitten Finds Fur Dad in Kind Delivery Rider

It is said that animals can distinguish bad from good people – and that appears to be true in many cases. For example, a teen was able to rescue a stray dog that had falling into a flooded river. Although they don’t know each other, the dog instinctively knew that his person was just trying to help him out.

That also seems to be the case of this stray kitten who apparently thinks that the delivery rider, Rodolfo Elchico, who keeps giving it some food is its fur dad.

Recently, the rider was spotted slumped over his motorcycle, sleeping in between orders. The photo doesn’t appear to be unusual at first glance, but if you look closely, there’s a kitten on his back!

The little one was snuggling with the delivery rider who actually knew that it was there on his back the whole time.

The rider explained that he had fed the kitten twice before, sharing some of his lunch with the stray animal. It must have felt a connection with him, then.

Earlier, he gave it a few slices of the shrimp he packed for his dinner.

It was the security guard of the establishment who snapped the photo and woke him up.

Nang ako ay gumalaw, nasa batok ko pa rin siya, [kaya] yumuko ako papunta sa sahig para makatalon siya at makababa lang,” he said.

The young rider added that this isn’t the first stray animal that he’s bonded with, but the first that he had a picture with.

Can Animals Sense a Bad Person?

It might be hard to believe at times, but animals have long appeared to be able to sense a bad person.

A study conducted by researchers in Kyoto University in Japan showed that if a dog knows that you were lying, it will no longer trust you. In a way, they can sense whether you’re a good person or not.

Nine Siblings Who Used to Live in a Hut, Built Dream House for Parents

They used to be poor and lived in a hut that’s away from most people’s homes. They didn’t even have electricity. But nine siblings were able to make it through their financial challenges to build their dream house for their parents – and it’s really a beautiful 3-story house with a roof deck! Wow.

Instead of complaining about how difficult it was to share a small hut that doesn’t have electricity with so many siblings, they dreamed about building their own homes. They also dreamed about building one for their parents.

According to Sar, they were poor but their parents understood the value of education.

A lot of poor parents make their children find a job at an early age to help support the family, but their parents didn’t do that. Instead, their parents made sure that they all went to school so they can fulfill their dreams of a better life.

Indeed, all their hard work paid off.

Decades later, they now have their own homes and families. But they didn’t forget their dream of building a house for their parents. So, the siblings contributed what they could to upgrade their ancestral home from a hut to a mansion.

Sadly, they lost both parents before they could complete the house. Still, it was wonderful to know that they did their best – and they believe that their parents are smiling happily from heaven, seeing the house they all dreamed of finally come true.

In reality, there are just too many temptations out there for you to eat more or slack off on your exercise routines. Plus, losing weight isn’t as simple as dieting for a couple of weeks – you might need to do it for months.

But for the many who were actually able to achieve their goal, finding the right motivation is the key.

For Cris Cringol from Davao City, the motivation is the Php50,000 that her husband promised if she reached her weight goal: losing 17 kg in 5 months.

While that’s certainly difficult to achieve, especially for a busy mom of two, Cringol was able to achieve her weight goal. She admitted that it first started out as a joke with her husband, but she would soon take up the offer – and he followed through with the reward.

So, how was she able to achieve it? Through exercise, she said.

According to Cringol, she exercised twice a day – early morning and before going to bed.
