Children of Tricycle Driver, Dressmaker Build Mansion for Their Parents

Life was not easy for the family of a tricycle driver and dressmaker but when their children found success in life, they built a mansion and provided their parents a better life!

In a post that went viral on PESO SENSE, a financial literacy page on Facebook, the family shares the story of their success.

One of the kids shared the story, narrating that their father did not have his own tricycle and their mother would only earn money from bulk orders. But their parents managed to raise them well, provide them with their needs, and instill discipline in them to focus on their studies.

All of the children became working students so they could go to college. But they would all find success in life.

Thanks to their hard work and sacrifice, the four children succeeded in life. They are now professionals. And one of the first things they did now that they have jobs is to build a bigger, better house for the family.

This electrical engineer shared that they built a house for their parents, something that had rooms for each of them! Back in the day, they only lived in a small apartment where everyone sleeps in the living room. It was not easy for them while growing up but now that they can afford it, they built a mansion for their parents.

Eto po ay patunay na may Diyos. Nakikita nya ang lahat. Kailangan lang po nating manalig at sabayan ng tiwala, sipag at tyaga. Kaya po natin maabot ang lahat, kahit kapos, kahit mahirap. Salamat mga ka-PESO,” the inspiring child wrote.

Congratulations to this tricycle driver and dressmaker for raising wonderful kids who helped them have a better future now that they have all found success in life…

Alyssa, follow my instructions in this email completely and carefully. I’m sending this to you in the off-chance that I’m not in my right mind or worse, gone,” Daddy Bing wrote.

The mysterious email scared Alyssa who did not open it for several days.

Alyssa shared.

“‘Yung dad ko ‘yung type ng person na he would surprise us at the most random times with the most random things. Miss na miss ko na siya. I wish he was here.

The email contained detailed instructions on what she should do. Her dad had already arranged for a florist to deliver flowers for her mom every June 10, Valentine’s Day, and August 19 for the coming years. The dates are presumably the mom’s birthday and the couple’s wedding anniversary.

There are also instructions for what she should do to take her mom out on a date, making sure her mom orders food she loves, and that Alyssa should make sure there are decorations because according to Daddy Bing, her mom loves to take photos. He made sure every single detail is right!

He even told her to ask him for some money so her mom could go to the salon. Awwww.

It’s bittersweet to read such an email, knowing they already lost him. But Alyssa made sure to follow her dad’s wishes…

Anniversary Surprise

How to make your anniversary special? There are really so many things you can do, but a surprise party would be wonderful.

Buy flowers for your partner. A gift would also be nice. You don’t have to take them to a fancy restaurant – because cooking your own food and preparing it at home would also be great; though that might not be easy to pull off as surprise.

You can also take a road trip or go on vacation, if possible.

Mommy Thoughts ‘Pranks’ Food Delivery Riders for Father’s Day Special

Mommy Thoughts ‘pranks’ food delivery riders for Father’s Day special! It’s a good prank that would actually be fantastic for everyone to do for the delivery riders in their locality, too…

Order ‘Prank’

Food delivery riders have made our lives much easier, particularly during the community quarantine period when movement/travel outside our homes is limited to help stop the spread of the virus.

What’s sad, however, is that there were so many people who thought that having so many food delivery riders at your beck and call made them easy targets for pranks. There were plenty of reports of food delivery riders getting pranked with fake orders.

While it’s true that most companies reimburse the riders for the unpaid fake orders, processing the reimbursement is an added hassle for them. The time they spent taking (and paying!) the order, then delivering these to the fake customers, becomes wasted just for these pranks!

With that in mind, vlogger Mommy Thoughts decided to make good ‘pranks’ for the food delivery riders at their hometown, Baguio City. This would make a nice balance to the bad pranks that many of their colleagues had experienced in the hands of heartless fake customers…

Check out this nice video by Mommy Thoughts to warm your heart:

The good ‘prank’ by Mommy Thoughts was done just in time for the Father’s Day special. Her goal is to ‘prank’ some food delivery riders who are dads, giving them all or some of the food she ordered and greeting them a “Happy Father’s Day”!

But what if the guy isn’t a father yet? Hmmmmm. Would that be considered as “fail”? Thankfully, the rider still got some food even if he’s not a dad yet. Nice one, Mommy Thoughts!

When is Father’s Day?

Father’s Day is a day set aside for honoring fathers, whether biological dads or adoptive dads or even single moms who also do dad roles.

In the Philippines, Father’s Day is officially celebrated every third Sunday of June, as proclaimed by former President Corazon Aquino in 1988.
